Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Article format : IMRAD Structure – Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion , Conclusion, and Reference.
    Reference adheres to APA 7th Edition referencing style.
  • Once the article has been submitted to the IRJSS journal for publication and the process has begun, you are not allowed to submit it to other journal publications unless you withdraw your submission to the journal and it has been approved by the editorial board. You may send your withdrawal letter to journal@rjss.icmass.org
  • The manuscript must be prepared in accordance with the IRJSS author guidelines.
    Corresponding author is clearly indicated with email and ORCID ID (if available)
    All in-text citations have corresponding entries in the reference list.
  • When available, URLs for the references have been provided. DOI, if available, must be included for the journal articles cited in this paper.
  • Authors are requested to download the Sample Paper and Copyright Form from the Author Guidelines section before submitting their manuscript.
    Note: Authors must submit their manuscript along with plagiarism reports, ensuring<10% AI-generated content and a similarity index below <15%.

International Research Journal of Sustainable Society (RJSS) is dedicated to publishing quality research work. IRJSS is a peer-reviewed open access journal published Quarterly.

Manuscript Preparation

1. General Format

  • Format: Follow the journal’s template for formatting (font type, size, margins, spacing).

  • Title Page:

    • Manuscript title

    • Author names, affiliations, and email addresses

    • Corresponding author’s details

  • Abstract: A concise summary (150–300 words) outlining the research's purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.

  • Keywords: 4–6 keywords relevant to the study.

  • Main Sections:

    • Introduction: Background, research objectives, and study significance.

    • Methods: Detailed description of the methodology for reproducibility.

    • Results: Clear presentation of findings, supported by tables and figures.

    • Discussion: Interpretation of results, limitations, and implications.

    • Conclusion: Summary of findings and potential future work.

  • References: Use the citation style required by the journal (APA, MLA, Chicago, or journal-specific style).

  • Figures and Tables:

    • Submit high-resolution images (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF).

    • Number figures and tables sequentially with descriptive captions.

    • Embed them in the manuscript and upload separately if required.

Note: The article must not exceed 15 pages.

2. Ethical and Plagiarism Considerations

Plagiarism Policy:

  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and unpublished. Do not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
  • AI Content Check: Most journals use software like ExpertchatAI, QuillBot, and Turnitin, ensuring <10% AI plagiarism.
  • Similarity Plagiarism Check: Most journals use software like Turnitin or iThenticate. Ensure similarity index is less than 15%.
  • Proper Citation: Credit all borrowed ideas, text, figures, or data. Use quotation marks for direct quotes and in-text citations.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Avoid reusing previously published work without citation or permission.

Consequences of Plagiarism:

  • Manuscripts with detected plagiarism will be rejected outright.
  • Severe cases may lead to a ban on future submissions or notification to your institution.

3. Authorship and Contributions

  • Criteria: List only those who contributed significantly to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research.

  • Acknowledgments: Mention funding sources, technical assistance, or other non-author contributions.

  • Conflicts of Interest: Declare any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts.

4. Data Availability

  • Statement: Include a data availability statement detailing where supporting data can be accessed.

  • Supplementary Material: Upload additional files like datasets, appendices, or multimedia if relevant.

5. Submission Process

  • Online Portal: Submit via the journal’s online submission system.

  • Cover Letter:

    • Address the editor-in-chief.

    • Highlight the manuscript's significance.

    • Confirm adherence to ethical standards and originality.

  • File Formats: Upload the manuscript in Word format.

6. Peer Review and Revisions

  • Peer Review: Be prepared for a double-blind or single-blind review process.

  • Revisions: Address reviewers’ comments thoroughly and provide a detailed response.

7. Fees and Open Access

  • Article Processing Charges (APC): Check for submission, publication, or open-access fees.

8. Post-Acceptance

  • Proofreading: Review the final proof for errors.

  • Copyright: Sign the copyright transfer agreement or choose a Creative Commons license.

Copyright Terms and Conditions

  1. The copyright transfer covers the exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the contribution, including reprints, translations, Photographic reproductions, microform, electronic form, or any other reproductions of a similar nature.
  2. The Author may not publish his/her contribution anywhere else without the prior written permission of the publisher unless it has been changed substantially.
  3. The Author promises that the article is original work, has not previously been published, and is not currently under consideration by another publication. If any copyrighted work is included, then an approval letter has to be submitted and signed by the copyright holder.
  4. The Author signs for and accepts responsibility for releasing this material on behalf of any co-authors. There is no objection from any of the Co-Authors to delegating legal rights to the author for paper publication.
  5. The right to use all or part of this article, including tables and figures, in future works of their own, provided that the proper acknowledgment is made to the Publisher as copyright holder.
  6. The right to make copies of this article for his/her use, but not for sale, and it is the responsibility of each author to ensure that papers submitted to the above-mentioned Journal are written with ethical standards and concerning plagiarism.
  7. This paper has not been published in the same form elsewhere for publication before acceptance/rejection by this
